Merika Frazier Hawes, MSW, LMSW, is the current Steering Chair with NAMI Augusta and has been a part of NAMI Augusta leadership team since 2015. Merika is a pediatric social worker; with over 10 years of direct experience as a social worker working with children, adolescents, and families. Merika received her Master of Social Work Degree from the University of South Carolina in Columbia, SC. Merika is trained in Question Persuade Refer (QPR), Mental Health First Aid, suicide prevention, and crisis management.
