Joanne Hay
Treasurer and Family Support Group Facilitator
Joanne Hay is a dedicated mental health advocate whose work is deeply rooted in her lived experience with having a family member living with mental illness. For more than a decade, she has volunteered with the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) Augusta affiliate, serving on its leadership team and, for the past seven years, as a Program Leader facilitating Family Support Groups.
Beyond her work with NAMI, Joanne serves on the August Judicial Circuit Accountability Court Steering Committee and the Serenity Behavioral Health Systems Advisory Committee, where she brings her perspective and experience to help strengthen community-based mental health initiatives.
Joanne is married to her husband, Michael, and is the proud mother of three and grandmother of four. An orchid hobbyist, she finds joy and balance in nurturing both plants and people.
